Google’s New Search Interface

- Go to Google
- Enter the following into your address bar (one line), hit enter (ignore the popup): “javascript:alert(document.cookie=”PREF=ID=fb7740f107311e46:TM=1142683332:
LM=1142683332:S=fNSw6ljXTzvL3dWu;path=/;domain=.google.com”)” - Search away
You will get the a new look at a Google Search:
My initial opinion: I hope this is a first draft. That left sidebar column doesn’t seem to add much for me.

It worked for me last night in Firefox 1.5. Make sure that you actually search for something (the first time I tried, I just hit enter on the search button, nothing happened).

I’m not a big fan of the new design at all. The numerical data of the search results (Results 1 – 10 of about 79,000 for blahblah. (0.11 seconds)) is gone. Usually, when I’m searching for text, I don’t need information on the images. I hope Google won’t actually implement this.
